What I am thankful for.

This post isn't about Thanksgiving....It's about people, my raising and my life.
This post is dedicated to my family and friends.
I am so glad my parents got married,in spite of having a bad marriage behind them. Without them we wouldn't be here. Thank you Mom and Daddy.
I'm glad for all the mistakes you made in your lives because it helped shape ours.
I'm glad for all that you taught us what was right, because we have never forgotten it.
I'm glad for all the mistakes we made (and you let us) growing up, because that is a part of growing up and learning. I'm grateful you let us have our own opinions even if it was different than yours. That's what makes us different.
I'm so very thankful for my 4 sisters, each so very different yet the same.
I'm thankful for my brother-in-laws, the ones here and the one that's gone. They have kept my sisters happy over the years.( All any of us has to do is call and they ALL will come when we really need them. Day or night.)
I'm thankful for my friends, some I've had close to 30 years and some I just met.
I'm thankful for both my kids, you have taught me more than I have taught you believe me. LOL
I'm thankful for my hubby, for understanding(putting up with) a mid-life menopausal grouchy and sometimes blond, Not the best housekeeper , and likes to ditch everything and go camping or fishing wife. He doesn't complain or fuss when I decide at the drop of a hat to just go and get away.He took a year off work when Jon was a tiny baby, he learned from scratch to diaper and take care of a sick baby. He does most of the homework thing with Jon now.He goes to games and freezes his buns off, so his wife can rest and go to work.
He doesn't fuss if we have sandwiches or pancakes for supper. SO YES I HAVE LOTS TO BE THANKFUL FOR!!!!!
I am also thankful for Jon... You might be 12 years old, I am not the one who gave birth to you,
But ....you'll always be my baby.
THANK YOU GOD!!!!.. I can still get up in the morning and go to work. I still have a home and people I love to share it with. I'm thankful for the the people I work with and the ones we take care of. I'm just grateful to be able to wake up in the mornings and know That I am loved....
Thank you God........ Donna
I hope each and everyone of ya'll have the GREATEST THANKSGIVING EVER!!!!!
Please have a safe and happy holiday!!!!! Donna

Good Evening Donna,
I have been missing you, but I know you have been busy and working. I just love this post. It has brought tears to my eyes. You and your sisters are really close and I can see it in 3 of you anyway. I hope that You and Yours Will Have A Blessed Thanksgiving. I'm cooking dinner here this year and my parents and sister are coming to eat with us. We do have alot of things to be Thankful for. Everyday should be Thanksgiving instead once a year. Well, take care my friend and it was so nice to see you. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

So the girls and Mama are your new header, huh? ;o)

We all have so much to be thankful for, Sister. We have our memories of those that are gone before us, and they're precious to us.

Lamar told me you're having to work and Jon and Big John are going to eat Thankgiving dinner there with you. Hope y'all have a good one.

Jessica may kill us because she thawed the turkey on the kitchen table instead of in the fridge or in a sink full of cold water. I told her, she ignored me. We'll see. We may end up eating chicken instead of turkey.

Heads up for the storms on Wednesday.

Love y'all,

Diane

Good Morning Donna,
I just came by to wish you and yours a "HAPPY THANKSGIVING". I'm sorry you will be working. Wish you could be with Diane and the rest of your sisters. That was such a sweet commment your hubby left for you. So romantic and meaningful. If you have time today or tonight, stop by. I have something for all my blogging friends. It is raining this morning and cold air coming in later tonight. Be safe traveling to work and back. Roads may be a little slippery especially with the traffic today and all. Take care my friend and God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

What a beautiful post. But I must say I'm a bit jealous. I only have two sisters. LOL
We all have a great deal to be thankful for.

A blessed Thanksgiving to you.

As the years go by, I think we tend to understand and appreciate life and those around us... for my life and my family whose lives have shaped mine over the years, I am so thankful to have had the privilege of knowing all of you... I know that life as we know it has changed but because of our Mom and Dad, we are all grown-ups who turned out well..in spite of making our own decisions at times.. to all my family.... I love you and give thanks that you are in my life and my heart... Hugs to Donna, Johnny and Jon.. We love you all.....Lisa & Brian

donna - thank you for your very kind words on my blog today. I love it when lurkers come out of the woodwork, but when they come out and say nice things, well, that's the icing on the cake!

I'll be checking out your blog more later, but I LOVE this Thanksgiving post. It's a wise woman who realizes that her blessings are all around her.
