This is what happens when people move all over the country. I grew up with a cellar; now I call it a basement.

I picked up y'all when I lived in TN and AR and have never lost it. That must account for the "20% Dixie".

But I'm a New Yorker. Go figure.

I added this info to my genealogy file. It's interesting that I have picked up language from many of my ancestors who lived in these areas. Thanks. It was fun.
